A example of this is observed in multiple internationality awards given to us in envioromental maintenance.
Recently in january 23, 2008 in Davos Switzerland, in the Economic Wold Forum, Costa Rica was the fifth country or the world and the first in the American Continent that cares the most about the natural resources within a list of 149 countries, where Switzerland got
the first place, followed by Sweden, Norway, Finland and Costa Rica.
Costa Rica is between the firsts countries that has enacted a cleaner envioromental, using cleaner energy in its production processes.
The theme envioromental protection was incorporated in the politic constitution of 1949 with a phrase that says:
Each person has the right to a envioromental healthy ecologically balanced.
Therefore we protect a surface of a 25% of territory under an area of conservation. Beside Costa Rica has mangroves, natural reserves, National Parks, biologyc corredores of international interest.
For example: Terraba-Sierpe being the biggest mangrove in centroamerica, the Coco Island is considered between the seventh natural Wonders in the World, Corovado National Park acording to national Geographic is the world third best in biodiversity, Marino Ballena National Park is the Birth-l
center of the Humback Whales, which lay eggs and inmigrate to South and North America, as well as Dolphins. Caqo Negro Wild-Life Refugee is a wetland of great worldwide importance for its conservation.
Monteverde Mountainous System is considered by UNESCO a Biophere Reserve. Also Costa Rica has volcanoes of great scenic beauty among other attractions. You could also apply for your courses and essays particular contents that cover researches about peoples behaviours from rural communities and even more scientific and technical ones linked to biodiversity found in different zones ot the country.
The environmental diversity Costa Rica has allows to cover big research branches in places like the Pacific Ocean, Caribean Sea and High and Low Mountains.
